Quilt Preparation Check List

  1. Quilt top: Trim and square your quilt top down to the final finish size. It should measure the same left to right at the top, middle and bottom as well as top to bottom at the left, middle and right to be square or it can cause puckers.
  2. Backing must be squared 4-6" larger than Quilt top on all sides.
  3. Quilt top and backing should be ironed flat with seams open or to one side.
  4. Remove all loose threads.
  5. If your quilt top is directional, or you have a preferred orientation- please specify.
  6. Batting: Must be 4-6" larger than quilt top on all sides. We have batting available.
